Multi Recipient Anonymous Egg Donation Cycles
The Multi Recipient AED cycle is one of the most cost effective measures for potential oocyte (egg) recipients, with the largest savings over 50% (inclusive of the cost of medications). The Multi Recipient AED cycle is a lower cost option for the recipient when two or more recipients agree to use the oocytes from a single donor. In other words, when a single donor is matched with more than one recipient, the overall cost of the cycle for all parties is reduced. The cycles of the oocyte donor and each recipient are carefully coordinated and synchronized to enable this process. Oocytes are allocated equally amongst the recipients, and then fertilized and cultured. Our goal for all recipients is transfer one or two good quality embryos. Embryos that remain can be frozen for use at a later date (if necessary).
Egg donors who are eligible to participate in this program are proven (repeat) donors that have donated in the past and have a history of producing a substantial number of oocytes. Having a proven track record helps ensure that all recipients receive a sufficient number of oocytes to be fertilized and transferred back to the recipient. A recipient can also choose to use donor sperm to fertilize her allocation of oocytes.
