Luis R. Hoyos, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., joined IVF Florida Reproductive Associates in 2021. He is double board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

Dr. Hoyos is originally from Colombia, where he completed medical school, and moved to the United States to complete his Obstetrics & Gynecology residency at Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI., where he was the Academic Chief Resident and received multiple accolades including, Recognition of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology, Residency Excellence in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, and Excellence in Academic Achievement for four consecutive years. He then completed his three-year subspecialty fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

Dr. Hoyos is one of the select few Reproductive Medicine Physicians in the country who has been named a Clinical Reproductive Scientist Research Training (CREST) Scholar by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, the Clinical Research Training Program at Duke University and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. 

An accomplished researcher, Dr. Hoyos has published over 25 peer-reviewed articles and has presented at national and international meetings. He is an active member of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, where he has served as a guideline committee member, oral abstract session moderator and currently serves as one of the interactive associates and as a reviewer for the most important journal in the field of reproductive medicine, Fertility and Sterility.

Dr. Hoyos is fluent in English and Spanish and is known to provide compassionate, individualized care to each patient seeking to grow their family.
