Q&A with Laurice Bou Nemer, M.D.
Why did you become a doctor/reproductive endocrinologist?
I became a doctor because I wanted to make a real difference in people’s lives, and I couldn’t imagine a more meaningful way to do it. I was drawn to reproductive endocrinology because it blends science, innovation, and deep human connection. It’s one of the few specialties where cutting-edge medicine meets some of life’s most emotional milestones, and I wanted to be there for people during that journey
What about IVF FLORIDA makes you the proudest?
I’m proud to be part of a clinic with such a long-standing reputation for excellence. IVF FLORIDA has been a pioneer in fertility care in South Florida for decades, and we never stop innovating or caring deeply for our patients.
Describe a time when a patient inspired you.
I had a patient who had been through multiple losses, and every time she came back with quiet strength and determination. When she finally held her baby, it wasn’t a win just for her, it felt like a win for everyone who had ever struggled silently. Her courage still stays with me.
What is your approach to helping patients who are struggling?
I focus on treating the whole person, not just the diagnosis. Struggling with fertility can affect every part of someone’s life, so I try to offer clear medical guidance, emotional support, and a space where patients feel truly seen.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I love to dance!
