Your First Visit

The first visit is an important step toward understanding your fertility and exploring your options. We want you to feel informed, supported, and empowered from day one at IVF Florida. Your care team will walk you through your next steps and help you prepare for each one.

What to expect at your consultation

During your initial appointment, you’ll meet with one of our board-certified reproductive endocrinologists to review your medical history, talk through your goals, and begin building a personalized plan. If you have a partner, they’re encouraged to attend as well.

Here’s what’s typically included at the first visit:

  • A review of your medical, surgical, and reproductive history
  • A discussion of lifestyle factors and overall health
  • A preliminary plan for diagnostic testing
  • An overview of potential treatment options based on your needs
  • Time to ask questions and share your preferences

Your physician will tailor the conversation to your unique situation. There is no one-size-fits-all approach.

What to bring to your consultation

To make the most of your visit, we recommend bringing:

  • Any recent medical records related to fertility, OB/GYN visits, or surgeries
  • A list of current medications and supplements
  • Your insurance card and photo ID
  • Your partner’s information (if applicable)

You may also want to write down any questions or concerns ahead of time so you feel fully prepared.

What happens after your first visit

Following your consultation, your care team may schedule diagnostic testing such as bloodwork, a semen analysis, or an ultrasound. Once test results are available, you’ll review them at the next visit with your physician and finalize your personalized treatment plan.

Words can’t fully express our gratitude. Thank you for helping make our dream of a family come true—we will forever be grateful.
