David I. Hoffman, M.D., is a board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologist with more than 40 years of experience helping patients navigate family-building care. He joined IVF FLORIDA in 1989 and brings a deep commitment to advancing reproductive medicine through both patient care and national leadership. Dr. Hoffman provides care at the Margate location, where he works closely with individuals and couples to develop personalized treatment plans grounded in clinical expertise and compassion.

Dr. Hoffman completed his OB/GYN residency and fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at the University of Southern California. Prior to relocating to South Florida, he held academic and leadership positions at Northwestern University, including Director of the IVF Program at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Section Head of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He currently serves as a Voluntary Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

Dr. Hoffman is widely published, with more than 65 abstracts, articles, and book chapters. He has held leadership roles in multiple professional societies, including serving as President of the Society of Assisted Reproductive Technologists. His clinical interests include IVF, embryo transfer, endoscopic surgery, recurrent miscarriage, and endometriosis.

Dr. Hoffman is committed to delivering care that is grounded in evidence, shaped by experience, and centered on the individual needs of each patient.

I work with a fantastic team that inspires me every day to continue to provide great care.

Describe a time you were inspired by a patient.
I am inspired everyday by couples who continue treatment despite the odds and conceive. My biggest reward is meeting their child!

What is your approach to helping patients who are struggling?
Taking time to explain the process, potential treatments and limitations while being both realistic and empathetic.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Swim, travel, cook and spend time with family and friends.
